They've spent over 25 years designing paragliders and foil kites, and that expertise shows in every detail of their parawing range. When a company that builds wings for a living turns its attention to parawing foiling, the results tend to be worth paying attention to.
This guide covers Ozone's parawings: the Pocket Rocket V2 (their current all-rounder, listed 1 May 2026), the original Pocket Rocket it replaces (still on sale and heavily discounted), and the PowerPack (their stash-focused downwind wing). About Ozone
Ozone was founded in 1998 by David Pilkington, Mike Cavanagh, and Rob Whittall. All three were passionate paraglider pilots, and they started the company to build wings they actually wanted to fly. By 2001 they'd expanded into kites, bringing in Matt Taggart as a founding partner of Ozone Kites.
What sets Ozone apart from most parawing brands is manufacturing control. Their factory, Parapex, was established in Vietnam in 2000 and now employs over 1,000 people across nine production floors. Parapex produces exclusively for Ozone products (paragliders, kites, speedwings, and wingsuits). That means Ozone controls their materials, construction quality, and design iteration in a way that most competitors simply cannot.
This heritage matters for parawing foiling. Designing a stable, efficient canopy that handles well across a range of wind speeds is exactly what paraglider manufacturers have been doing for decades. Ozone offers two distinct parawing designs, and the all-rounder is now in its second generation. The Pocket Rocket V2 arrived on 1 May 2026 in seven sizes and is the current model. The original Pocket Rocket remains on sale alongside it as run-out stock. The PowerPack is a separate design built specifically for stash-and-glide downwind riding.

Ozone Pocket Rocket V2: The Current All-Rounder
Ozone listed the Pocket Rocket V2 on 1 May 2026. It is shipping rather than on pre-order, and it takes the range to seven sizes with a new 5.7m. Ozone describe the main changes as a shorter bridle set-up inspired by the PowerPack, a new Bow Bar, a more compact shape, a refined profile with a diagonal rib support structure, a new coated front line material, and a reduced aspect ratio.
On the specifications we can verify, the V2 is heavier than the V1 at every shared size, by 30g to 50g on a like-for-like basis (both generations are quoted by Ozone as including the bar). It also has a shorter bar, 33cm or 36cm against the V1's 40cm across the range, and one fewer cell at every matched size. Ozone publish a per-size wind range chart for the V2, though as a gradient without printed figures rather than the numeric table they gave for the V1.

Ozone Pocket Rocket V1: The Wing the V2 Replaces
The original Pocket Rocket was Ozone's flagship parawing and the model most riders encountered first. It's a genuinely capable all-round wing: strong upwind performance, reliable stability, and the kind of refined aerodynamics you'd expect from a paraglider manufacturer. The Pocket Rocket V1's defining characteristic is its upwind ability. Rider feedback from its time as Ozone's current model consistently rated it as one of the best upwind performers in the category, with fingertip control from the bar and a canopy that stayed clean even when pushed hard. Ozone's colour-coded bridle lines and spliced connections make setup and redeployment straightforward.
The 40cm carbon-fibre bar is larger than BRM's 25cm bar, which gives more leverage for sheeting and depowering. Whether that's an advantage depends on what you prioritise: BRM's smaller bar contributes to a more compact pack size, while Ozone's larger bar gives more control authority.
One point the community regularly highlights is water relaunch. Several riders note that the Pocket Rocket V1 relaunches from the water more reliably than BRM parawings, which is a genuine confidence builder for less experienced riders.
What the V1 Costs
Tiered on its unchanged list price the V1 sits in the premium tier, a step below the V2 that replaced it.
Run-out stock, and it has nearly gone. Ozone's own price is unchanged, but Green Hat Kiteboarding are clearing the V1 at a substantial dealer discount. Re-checked 4 August 2026: only the 1.9m was still buyable, in one colourway of eight, with every other size sold out across every colourway. On 2 August all six sizes were still listed. This is a clearance running down rather than a sale that might end, so the risk to you is the size you want having already gone.

The PowerPack is Ozone's second parawing, released in 2026. Where the Pocket Rocket is designed for versatile all-round use, the PowerPack is purpose-built for experienced riders who prioritise fast stash-and-glide riding.

The PowerPack's key innovation is its stash speed. A lower rib count means less material to manage when packing, and the centre front line riser lets you bundle the front lines without touching individual bridle connections. The result is significantly faster packdown and redeployment than the Pocket Rocket.
The Bow Bar design removes the central leader line, freeing up hand positioning across the centre section. At 36cm, it's slightly smaller than the Pocket Rocket's 40cm bar, which contributes to a more compact overall package.
In terms of flying characteristics, the PowerPack uses a lower aspect ratio canopy with what riders describe as a cupped trailing edge. This produces more instant lift and faster takeoff, making it easier to get on foil quickly in marginal wind. The trade-off is upwind efficiency: community feedback rates the PowerPack around 6 to 7 out of 10 for upwind, compared to the Pocket Rocket's near-perfect upwind score. If you're primarily riding upwind/downwind loops, the Pocket Rocket is the better tool. If you're doing point-to-point downwind runs with multiple stash/deploy cycles, the PowerPack is built exactly for that.
Ozone positions the PowerPack explicitly for experienced parawing riders. Their documentation states it is "not designed to withstand the wear and tear potentially caused during the learning process." If you're new to parawing foiling, start with the Pocket Rocket.
What the PowerPack Costs
The PowerPack sits in the premium tier, listing below the V2 in every currency. Note that it costs more than the Pocket Rocket V1 in sterling and euros despite having fewer ribs and shorter lines: you are paying for line management, not materials.

The Pocket Rocket V1 has been on the market longest and has the deeper pool of rider feedback. The most consistent praise centres on upwind ability: riders through the V1 era frequently described it as the strongest upwind performer among the major parawing brands, with fingertip bar control and a canopy that stays clean and stable even in gusty conditions. Water relaunch is another recurring positive. Several riders who've used both Ozone and BRM wings note that the Pocket Rocket V1 relaunches from the water more easily, which matters when you're learning or riding in challenging conditions.
The most common criticism is weight and pack size. BRM parawings are noticeably lighter and more compact, and riders who prioritise packability tend to note this difference.

The PowerPack is a specialist tool, and both independent reviewers of the V2 keep it ahead on the two jobs it was built for, stowing and redeploying.
